## How Signal registers a phone number

Signal registers an account to a phone number. The number receives a 6-digit code by SMS, or by voice call if the text doesn't come.

1. **Install Signal and tap Continue.** Signal asks for a phone number to register the account.
2. **Enter the number.** Choose the number's country and paste the digits from your SMS Falcon account.
3. **Wait for the 6-digit SMS.** Signal texts the code. Skip the voice-call option: our numbers receive texts only.
4. **Enter the code and set a PIN.** Type the code, then create your Signal PIN. Turn on Registration Lock to protect the account.

## When Signal's code doesn't arrive

Signal's registration step usually fails for one of these.

- **The SMS doesn't come.** Wait for the timer, request once more, or switch country. A code that never arrives is refunded automatically.
- **Signal suggests a voice call.** Calls can't reach an SMS Falcon number. Request the SMS again instead.
- **Registration Lock is on.** If the number was registered before with a PIN, Signal asks for that PIN. Use a fresh number.
- **The number is refused.** Some ranges don't receive Signal's texts. Pick another country from the list.
