## How LinkedIn verifies your phone

1. **Open Sign in & security.** Go to Settings › Sign in & security › Phone numbers › Add phone number.

3. **Wait for the 6-digit code.** LinkedIn sends it by SMS. It also offers "Call me with the code"; stay with the text.
4. **Type the code and your password.** Enter the code, then your LinkedIn password if asked.
